Comments:  The oldest building in the town of Irvine, Seagate Castle is believed to have been first sited in the mid-12th Century and remained inhabited until the mid-18th, the ruins today represent a 16th Century Fortalice consisting of a lengthy main block with three projected Towers, two round and one triangular.
